In 1993, Steve Johnson founded Homechek, Inc., which has since become the leading building inspection company in central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland over its 32-year history. As a multi-inspector and multi-inspection firm, Homechek recognized the necessity of automating the inspection process. In 1995, the company created its first inspection software utilizing Microsoft Office and a dot matrix printer. While this initial solution was effective, Homechek quickly outgrew it. In 2000, the company launched the first web-based home inspection software platform in the nation. The next major advancement came with the transition of its platform to the cloud.
